Michael studied piano from the age of 7 and experimented with computers and music

back in the days when his Mac SE/30 was revolutionary. He spent many hours as a young man locked away with his ASR10 Ensoniq sampler writing music for musicals and short films.


In 1993 he completed a Bachelor of Education at Melbourne University majoring in Music and Drama. In ʼ94 he was a founding member and musical director of Babba (the Abba Tribute band) with other top Melbourne Musicians. Babba have performed all over Australia, Asia and New Zealand to audiences as large as 40,000. www.babba.com.au


Michael won a songwriting competition in Nashville (Songdoor) in the category of Singer/Songwriter in 2006. The song ‘Found’ was written with long-time friend and song-writer David Brooks.

Michael has also composed music for TV commercials, musicals, short films, videos, and exhibitions.


Michael enjoys the challenge of a wide variety of projects.
